Characters are annotated individually with the Teochew pronunciation, according to the selected Teochew character dictionary. For more information, click on each character to view its entry in English Wiktionary.
A single character may have more than one reading, depending on the context, e.g. what word it is used in. To help users, the tool also looks for multi-character words. These are found by simple matching against Wiktionary entries. Multiple overlapping results may be found if word boundaries are potentially ambiguous.
